Automad Ltd – Used Vehicle Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
This warranty is provided by Automad Ltd, Brownhills, Walsall, and applies to used vehicles sold with a standard 3-month warranty from the date of purchase. It is designed to cover unexpected mechanical and electrical failures under normal use.
2. Duration of Warranty
The warranty is valid for 3 calendar months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, starting from the date of
delivery or collection. The warranty applies only to the purchaser named on the invoice and is non-transferable.
3. Covered Components
This warranty covers the following major mechanical and electrical components:
- Engine: Cylinder block, cylinder head, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, oil pump, timing belt/chain (if maintained as per schedule)
- Transmission: Manual/automatic gearbox (internal components), clutch (excluding friction material), torque converter, CV joints
- Drivetrain: Driveshafts, differential, prop shaft, bearings
- Cooling System: Radiator, thermostat, water pump
- Fuel System: Fuel pump, injectors, fuel pressure regulator (excluding contamination)
- Electrical System: Starter motor, alternator, ignition coil/ECU
- Suspension & Steering: Coil springs, dampers/shock absorbers, power steering pump, rack and pinion Braking System: Brake master cylinder, brake servo, ABS pump/module
4. Exclusions (Not Covered)
The following are not covered under this warranty:
- Routine maintenance and consumables (oil, filters, wipers, bulbs, tyres, brake pads/discs)
- Cosmetic items (paintwork, interior trim, seats, carpets, body panels)
- Batteries and exhaust systems
- Damage caused by overheating, misuse, unauthorised modifications, or continued use after fault
- Diagnostic costs, recovery, or transport (unless previously agreed)
5. Warranty Conditions
To remain valid, the warranty is subject to the following:
- The vehicle must be serviced as per manufacturer intervals.
- The buyer must report any fault within 48 hours of it occurring.
- All repairs must be carried out by Automad Ltd or by a pre-approved garage.
- No reimbursement for unauthorised repairs.
- Proof of purchase and warranty must be presented when making a claim.
6. How to Make a Claim
If you experience a mechanical issue:
- Stop driving the vehicle immediately (if safe).

- Provide name, vehicle registration, mileage, and fault description.
- We will arrange inspection and repair if eligible.
7. Liability
Maximum liability under this warranty shall not exceed the vehicle’s purchase price. Automad Ltd is not liable for any loss of income, inconvenience, or indirect damages caused by a failure.
8. Additional Coverage
Extended warranties (up to 12 months) may be available at the time of purchase.
